While at work, some people goof off by finding random sites online to read. But not Jeremy and I, oh no. We create masterpieces.
Backing up a bit, a good friend of mine, Dan, made a facebook group asking if anyone wanted to be his Valentine. It's working rather well because last I checked, he had around twelve adoring fans. I mentioned this to Jeremy online today and we decided that it's the perfect plot for a film. So here's the trailer.
Jeremy: Dan was a man without a Valentine...
Jeremy: ...who would do anything for those little chalky hearts with cute sayings on them...
Lauren: (background talkers) "So Dan, what're you going to do Friday? It's Valentine's day" "Yeah, i know. I'll think of something."
Jeremy: (quick montage of failed advertisement schemes)... "Until..." *RECORD SCRATCH* (quick zoom on facebook homepage)
Lauren: background: "Wait, you started a facebook group to get a date?" "Yep, and look at all the people signing up." (music stop) "Dude...you're a genius."
Lauren: ...This February, watch Dan learn that finding love isn't as easy as posting a bulletin...
Jeremy: (various girls) "Dan has a facebook group?" "to find a valentine" "I'm so there!" Dan (in front of PC): "twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen--" (rapid dinging sound) "OH MY GOD" (cut to Dan running down the street away from dozens of homely girls waving boxes of chocolate)
Lauren: ...and that sometimes the right girl is just a poke away... [poke meaning the poke feature on facebook, of course]
Jeremy: This February... join... "The Facebook Group"
Lauren: (doorbell--Dan answers the door and three guys stand there holding flowers.) "You're looking for a Valentine?" (Dan shuts door.)
(Dan, don't hate me for posting this!)
I don't know about you, but i'm pretty sure it'll be a hit.
