Half-Deserted Streets was created in January of 2008. Originally it was a simple writing blog, but it evolved to the book blog you see today. The title is from the first stanza of T.S. Eliot's poem The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.
Here's my favorite joke:
Two sausages are frying in a pan. The first one says "Man, it's getting hot in here." The second one screams, "OH MY GOD A TALKING SAUSAGE!"
