Okay, maybe not exactly, but it's the first thing I thought of.
To you: I know I shouldn't be, but I'm sorry I hurt you. I wrote from the heart and although you lived through everything mentioned, I could understand why it would make you upset. And although you might never read this, it feels good knowing my apology is out there. It's in the past now. We're good.

this isn't about me leaving the lid off the peanut butter, is it?
By now you should know that I expect the peanut butter lid to not just be on, but securely fastened. Why let air in to ruin the perfectly good spread? It's a waste, I tell you, a waste!
