Upon reviewing, I noticed that I missed a very important moment. Two posts ago, I reached my 100th post on this blog. My, how time flies...
I started this blog on January 1st, the day of the infamous breakup. I needed a place to vent, to write about my trials and tribulations, and my college days' livejournal didn't cut it. I wanted something new; it was 2008 and all. I needed a new start.
Mostly, I just wanted to write. I like to write. I may be no T.S. Eliot, but I'm trying. To me, writing has become an honest and fun pastime. One that doesn't make a big deal of itself.
Along the way (all these four months) I learned a lot about myself, how to become content and happy on my own, and about life. I attribute the latter to my wonderful blog friends. You all are the ones I wish to thank in my 100th (okay, 102nd) blog post. Thank you so much for reading my blog, for commenting, for helping, and for writing AMAZING blogs for me to read. Thank you for giving me inspiration and compassion. And, mostly, thanks for just being there. I would specifically like to give a shout out to those listed on this site on my blogroll (see list on the right). You are all the best and I wish I could give each and every one of you a great big hug.
So, to all new and old readers, thanks for checking out Half Deserted Streets. Let me know if you do--I'd love to return the favor.

Ooooh, congratulations on your 100th post. As time has gone by, I've definitely grown personally from my blog time. Keep it up - I, for one, enjoy reading your blog!
