After putting air in my car's tires this past weekend and having its oil changed, I figured i'd treat it to something nice. A car wash. A real one, not one that I give it with dirty water and old towels in my front driveway. So after work I took it to the Mobile gas station down the road to use one of those car wash machines.
I swear I thought I was dying. After being sprinkled, soaped, and rinsed, the car had to be dried. A row of dryers slowly started towards my car. Making more noise than a room full of five year olds, it crept upon me, threateningly with wind that was more powerful than angry wrestlers. When it hit, my whole body shook. And not just my body, my car. The windshield wipers looked like they were going to fly away, my side view mirrors wanted to detach themselves and run for safety. And the noise was deafening. Loud, wind tunnel sounds hit against the top of my car. I'm fairly certain I felt the pressure. I closed my eyes and waited for the sirens.
When it was over, I emerged with my car, my clean and sparkling car, and drove home. As soon as I parked in the lot across from my town house it naturally started to rain. Looking up at the sky, I scoffed at the rain. It may be wet and it may be a pain, but its got nothing on the car wash.

Thats why California rules.
Awww, I love the car wash. There's something so serene about your car moving without you having to do a thing!
Got to stay away from those machines...take your baby over to a 100% Hand dry car wash...so much less scary!
thats just bad luck.
