My joints are getting used to the exercise again, the exertion. Fat is melting off, revealing muscles that have been long forgotten. My arms are becoming toner, shapely as they once were. My body is recognizing the positions and making each movement easier, more fluid. Like a runner getting back in the game, your body never really forgets.
What I used to love about circus was the attachment. Your contraption was a part of you, an extension of your body. When I performed the hanging perch, one of my tricks was spinning inside a levitated silver ring (a bike rim in actuality). I got so used to the ring; it was like another leg, another arm. I flowed with it knowing every weak spot, every balance point. I'm not quite at that level yet, and I know it'll be quite some time until I am, but I like getting back into the game. And although it's not professionally, and never will be, my backyard is just as good as any performance spot.

WOW! That's so awesome!! I had no idea you used to/still do the trapeze. I wanted to be a trapeze artist SOOOO badly when I was little. That's really amazing!
I definitely think you should post more regularly about it.
I think we need some trapeze video :) I think it's so cool that you have one ;)
Wow! :)
That looks fun. And tough!
I'm totally coming over this week to play!!!
I'm in awe of you. Even the school monkey bars used to thwart me!!
I am completely impressed by your trapeze skills. I think you should post a how-do guide for those of us who have never done anything on the trapeze before. It sounds like a fun thing to learn!
