Carrying the Banner

A short article I wrote a bit ago about my trip to Milan was published today! For those in Orlando, it's in the Orlando Sentinel's travel & arts section. For those not, it's here: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/travel/os-being-there-milan-111509-20091112,0,2796048.story

We're still in Miami, so I haven't seen the print version yet. But there's a paper waiting for us when we get home.

As for now, I'm going to go call my grandparents and tell them to open the paper. They'll be so proud!

Congrats! I'm way further down on the publication ladder, but I just had my first article "published" (in an online 'zine) last week and I felt such a huge sense of accomplishment. Bask in this, cut it out and frame it, congratulations! :)

Awwww, you're special to the sentinel! You're special to us, too. ;)

Seriously though, congrats! I'm gonna read it right now while thinking, "I know her, and I can totally hear her saying that."
