Best of 09

I fell a bit behind on the "best of 09" list I was trying to do. People came in town, essays had to be written, Christmas gifts were to be purchased...but the one topic I was excited about addressing was best personal writing of the year.

So, after reviewing, here are my favorite HDS blog posts of 2009.

Determination - How I overcame pain to succeed in the circus.
Routines - A high school flashback.
21 Miles - My dad and I rode 21 miles on our bikes. I think I almost died.
Holi - My first (not as scary as I thought) Holi celebration.
Who Is Matt Horne Anyway? - A crazy night in London.
Driving Close - How driving during college days was much more fun.
Dusk - My old roommate Jeff and I try our hand at writing the next popular teen book.
25 Things - For those interested (or incredibly bored), here are 25 facts about me.
Hidden - Why Hidden Driveway signs bother me.
Dreaming - Quite literally, a dream I had.

What are your favorite things you've written this year?

Nice post idea! I have to think about it. I think I like the post I made about this big hip-hop festival here I got to perform in. I performed right before Musiq Soulchild lol.

Another one would probably this new post about 20sb featured bloggers ( you've read that? ). It has lots of controversies, a lot supported me and a few really insulted me but then a bunch of amazing blog friends backed me up :). I love blogosphere!

Here's to amazing 2010! *clink*

I loved a lot of those posts you've linked too. :)

My favorite was probably my birth story. It wasn't necessarily well-written, but I'm glad I documented that day because already I'm forgetting how much PAIN I WAS IN AND OH NO, OH NO, NO MORE BABIES FOR A WHILE.

Kidding. Well, not on the no-more-babies-for-a-while thing. More like I'm forgetting how it all went down, how I went from just Whitney to Whitney, Dublin's mommy.

I really like this idea. Makes me want to go back and read my life over this past year!

Nice idea, and some really nice posts, too. You've had a good blogging 2009.

I think some of my favorite stuff I wrote in 2009 included the fake Cosmo magazine. That was just ridiculous.
