December 14-15

December 14 - Best Rush
I never thought I'd be able to bike five miles, not to mention ten, but I was, purposefully. Dad a few paces ahead of me, I felt the breeze blow through my hair and wind hit my face. It wasn't especially cold for a January morning, but there was still that winter bite. We got to the end - one last steep hill up and we'd be at the car. Taunting me, I didn't think I could make it up the hill without walking my bike - how could I? But as I started peddling, my legs grew accustomed to the burn, asking for it. Fingers digging deep into the handlebars as I changed gears and teeth biting down on my lip, I kept pushing, pushing, pushing until the burn spread to my feet, my hips. But there was the apex, beckoning to me with invisible arms outstretched. Cheeks flushed, I reached it and looked down not just at the bottom of the hill or the ten miles behind me, but at my former self, still struggling at the bottom.

December 15 - Best Tea
Well, I live with someone from London, so I must say, every morning with English Breakfast Tea is quite lovely.

Fun Find: The other day at Barnes & Noble, Colure and I were checking out the new LEGO Book. As a child, I adored LEGOS, I collected the sets and assembled them until my fingers were sore. We couldn't afford the giant sets, so we got the miniature ones and I'd create castles out of pirate ships, houses, race cars and more. I always favored the castles and the knights. Living in Orlando, I love going to the LEGO store up in Downtown Disney. I become a child again and want EVERYTHING (and might have given into said temptation when I found a Catwoman LEGO keychain for $2 a year ago). Anyway, with the release of Toy Story (one of my all time favorite movies), I just learned that the're making Toy Story themed LEGOS. I think it's necessary for me to get the Woody figure. And if they make a Mr. Potato Head? A Mr. Potato Head in a CASTLE? Oh man...

Isn't biking the best though?

One of the prompts for this is best TEA?!? I mean, I like tea but...what? Seems like they were grasping for straws to come up with some of these. They may as well have done best grilled cheese, or best bloody mary, or something else completely random.
