(Before I begin I want to thank everyone for their incredibly sweet and thoughtful comments on my last few posts. My brother was astonished with how kind complete strangers-to him-could be, but I wasn't. I know the blogging community is amazing - this just solidifies it even more. So thank you, everyone. You're the best. Really.)
The morning after Meg and Hunter's wedding was hectic. While I organized the wedding gifts onto a cart, Samir had to beg the valet for our car's prompt return. Since my friends were in from all over the state, we organized a breakfast meet up at IHOP; so after struggling to fit everything into my car, Samir and I finally, finally made it. It took a bit of time to find a table for all of us, but when we did it was amazing. It was as if my life in Tallahassee relocated temporarily to Orlando. Just for that moment. My favorite roommates nearby, my male confidant across the table, it was perfect. A balloon artist came by and made the guys hats - they were ecstatic.
I don't remember what I ate and I have no clue how long we were there, but I remember we were tired, I remember some were hung over, and I remember we were happy. All together for one more moment before we left. It wasn't a monumental restaurant moment, but it was definitely a great one. Because, really, anytime that I'm surrounded by friends means that I'm home.

(One of my favorite people in the world, Sarah, is participating in this December challenge as well, but since she doesn't have a blog, she's answering each question in my comments section. So check her answers out - she's amazing! She was also present at the above event)

Friends really are home. Family is home too, for me. But I'm friends with my family. I'm sure if I wasn't as close with them as I am I wouldn't feel that way... maybe. lol
Favorite Restaurant Moment- Meg's beginning-of-the-bachelorette-party dinner. I can't remember what restaurant we ate at, although I do remember it was italian and Lau you had mezza luna ravioli that I looked at longingly, with a touch of drool, from across the table. The thing I found most interesting about this bachelorette dinner was that the groom and best man were present. We didn't really plan it, but it was great, and the perfect way to start a wonderful night. A night full of heavy-handed bartenders, dancing to single (or not so single) ladies, and of course the "upgrade" you and Meg swung on the room. It was one of my favorite evenings of the year.
