Photo Help!

Since money is extremely tight right now (my job is great, but we're still only at four days a week), Samir and I are finding ways freelance our talents. I'm diligently trying to find writing opportunities, but since the local newspaper here is practically dying (sadly), there isn't much hope. So, in hopes that someone thinks I'm an okay photographer, I've decided to open up my own etsy shop. That's right. I'm trying to sell my photographs.

Here's where you all come in. Can you check out my shop and let me know what you think? Honest criticism it greatly appreciated, especially from those who have their own shops or are better photographers than me. Any help is certainly appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Your photos are beautiful! I really think you will do well. I don't have an etsy page so I don't have any advice, but you are definitely a great photographer!

Those are great pictures! Have you tried writing for the online Examiner? I think they have one for Orlando. I'm not sure it is huge bucks, but some blogger friends of mine write for the one up near DC and they do make money.

OK, Here is some real feedback, work on the photos some more. They need some photoshop work. Go take about 500 more shots and pick the top 5-10 to put on Etsy. You have an eye, but need more practice and more technical expertise on lighting, contrast, background, etc. Keep at it and you can go far.

Lovely photos, but the more you play around with Photoshop the better they'll become. I think you'll do great, just keep practicing with all sorts of images and all sorts of tools in editing software, and they'll be even better :)

No offense to people who use Photoshop, but I know a lot people who take really great photos without the use of it. I also would rather buy a photo that hasn't been Photoshopped, as it seems more meaningful.
