A better tomorrow

I've never been very political in my blog. I do this on purpose because I don't want to turn people off regarding my opinions. I like to play the middle man sometimes, Switzerland.

However, today I received in the mail my sample ballot for the upcoming election. It's so incredibly soon and I'm honestly very excited. I feel very strongly about who I'm supporting and have high hopes. Now, regardless of my political opinions, I encourage everyone to vote. Whether you're part of the Democratic Party, Republican Party, or Boston Tea Party (seriously), just go and vote. Make a difference.

With that being said, here's who I'm voting for.

Obama. Period.

Oh, and regarding the No. 2 Constitutional Amendment? NO. I want all of my friends to one day get married, even if they love someone of the same gender. No one should ever tell two people that they aren't allowed to.

...And I'm done. More after the election!

I feel ya on Obama. I want him to win soo sooo sooo desperately! Oh, and Prop 2. I can't believe that our country is still so old-fashioned. Please, let people love who they want to!

I'm not very political on my blog either, but I do believe and want change. I volunteered at the campaign tonight and it feels nice to give back and help toward something

GOBAMA!!!! :D

Yeah I really really hope he wins. I'm feeling very positive this election season, though. Just gotta get those young folks out to vote!!

And I totally agree about #2. It's not up to us as human beings to decide who gets to be with who, regardless of gender. Ultimately that decision lies with a higher power, and I think our time would be better spent focusing on how to just love and accept everyone, regardless of our differences.

Good for you! I'm not very political on my blog (or in real life) for the same reason, but my mind is made up for the same reason.

I need to send in my ballot ASAP.

This seems to be a common theme on many of the blogs I read lately. Oddly, I took this cool little quiz online last week to match me up with which candidate most fit with my ideals. http://glassbooth.org/

It came out as Cynthia McKinney. Did you know we still have a female candidate for president and that she's black? I had no freaking idea. I was amazed. Obama was in 3rd place in my results, as about a 75% match.

I'm voting for Obama also. My Boyfriend is not. We try to 'agree to disagree' but sometimes I get so mad I just want to shake him!!!!

I never talk about politics on my blog, but I'm starting to feel compelled to do it.

My daughter came home with faces on a stick--one Obabma and one McCain.

She colored the McCain one to look like Hitler.

I might have to post that.

Good luck to all my friends in the south. I can't vote for Obama, but know that I would if I could. I have immigration papers at the ready for any and all should McCain somehow win... :/
